Clinical
PHILOSOPHY
Our twelve-month school year is tailored to meet the needs of teenagers with a history of difficulties in school, in their families, and/or in their communities These difficulties may present themselves as low self-esteem, poor impulse control, depression, or attentional issues.

Our approach is based upon a therapeutic milieu model, in which students are exposed to a wide range of positive and corrective experiences throughout the school day. Students benefit from on-the-spot counseling and feedback as they present issues related to their development. Daily interaction among teams of teachers, therapists, and career and educational specialists ensures that growth strategies for each student are coordinated and cohesive. Our goal is to promote maximum personal and academic development.

CLINICAL SERVICES
Bay Cove Academy offers something that is increasingly unique in today's world: an educational program for troubled youth, backed by a strong and vibrant clinical support component. Our Masters-level social workers provide individual, group, and family therapy as well as crisis intervention and case management. Consultation with a clinical psychological is provided when needed.

A Parents Advisory Group, led by the clinical director, meets throughout the school year to discuss issues that pertain to the education, health, and safety of the students in the program. To learn more about the Parents Advisory Group, please contact
