Outpatient Treatment Services

The Bay Cove Treatment Center provides intensive, seven-day-a-week outpatient treatment to IV drug users. Clients receive medical assessments, daily dosing with methadone medication, weekly individual and group counseling, and comprehensive substance abuse education.

ASAP Batterer Intervention Programs is an alcohol & substance abuse program (ASAP) to help men with a history of violent behavior stop future assaults on others.

Chelsea ASAP operates a first offender driver alcohol education program in accordance with Massachusetts Statute 24D. Chelsea ASAP also operates a second offender driving program that serves those individuals who have been arrested twice for driving under the influence of alcohol in their lifetime and who have completed a two week second offender inpatient treatment program. Both the first and second offender programs are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Alcohol & Substance Abuse Programs (ASAP) are provided in both English and Spanish, to help men and women overcome substance abuse addictions.

The CARE Community Network Project is comprised of four different agencies that offer various services in handling the domestic violence problems faced by some families in the Latino community in Chelsea.

Detoxification and Transitional Programs

Andrew House serves adult men and women who have difficulty finding placement in traditional detoxification centers. The program specializes in treating substance abusers who also suffer from severe mental illness, persons addicted to more than one substance, and those whose behavior during detoxification requires specialized management.

Bridge To Recovery provides Acute Treatment Services to over 2,000 substance abusers in the Boston region each year. These medical detoxification services are a first step towards a continuum of recovery services which include Shelter Outreach, Inpatient Detoxification, Transitional Support and Relapse Prevention.

Youth Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention Programs

The Adolescent Violence Intervention Program serves boys ages 12 to 18 who have histories of dating violence, violence towards peers, and/or violence towards parents. The program is eighteen weeks and is open ended. A full evaluation assessment is done for each adolescent to determine appropriateness for the program.
