Schedule: Monday through Friday occasional weekend shift (1x every 3 months)

Responsibilities: Plan, organize and carry out general clinical management duties on the unit. Orient, instruct and supervise clinical staff. Review and interpret work performance of clinical staff against accepted standards and job descriptions. Review and evaluate patients’ clinical records including treatment plans, counseling and case management progress notes, psychosocial assessments and signed consent forms. Assure that patients have a clean, comfortable and safe environment. Evaluate and assess social, psychological and motivational needs of the patient. Make independent decisions regarding counseling and case management practice. Evaluate emergencies to determine emergency measures necessary, keep program director notified and complete incident reports. Perform duties of clinical line staff as needed.
Qualifications: Must have completed a master’s degree in Social Work or one of the following disciplines: clinical psychology, education-counseling, social work; OR possess a LADC1. Should have at least two years supervisory experience and two year’s experience in direct clinical supervision of staff is preferred. Certificate in substance abuse treatment preferred. At least two year’s experience in substance abuse or mental health setting. Thorough knowledge of dual diagnosis and treatment resources available in the substance abuse and mental health fields. Demonstrated documentation and communication skills.
