Responsibilities: Provides supportive counseling to men and women with varying levels of impairment. Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans in the framework of recovery. Provides case management and engages in care consultation regarding specific clients with other staff, social service agencies, housing authorities and any other collateral contact. Makes appropriate referrals for client needs including but not limited to: housing, benefit assistance, medical and psychiatric. Maintains client records and programmatic documentation, while insuring client confidentiality. Enforces program policies and procedures as they pertain to clients. Provides crisis intervention when necessary.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required. CADAC/LADAC or equivalent preferred. Experience in individual and group counseling. Prior knowledge of the field of substance abuse. Knowledge of modality specific issues, such as substance abuse, homelessness, trauma, and other co-occurring disorders. Must be knowledgeable with the Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patient Record (Title 42CFR-Part 2). Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as computer, record keeping and organizational skills. Able to accept supervision, and be part of a team.
